美银财报受交易疲软与12亿美元罚款拖累

With some more details, let's get into this with Christine Aquino. Hey, Christine. Hey, John. I mean, of course, a lot of disappointment already expected, as you mentioned, Brian Moynihan guiding markets toward more subdued trading revenue, particularly in fact. But what was particularly surprising is the downside surprise when it comes to equities trading revenue as well. They missed those estimates $2.51 billion versus an estimate of 2.63 billion.

Now, that is deviating from the script that we saw from most of the bank earnings yesterday where thick was indeed disappointing mostly across the board. But equities was the bright spot. That is not the case for Bank of America evidently this morning. And as you can see, the shares are further declining here, even though we already saw earlier declines as a result of the breaking news overnight regarding the Treasury sanctions.

So very interesting. It seems like even though Brian Moynihan guided market storage a more disappointing result, we're still seeing, uh, shares extending declines here because there's a lot more disappointed to be had than perhaps the initially telegraphed.
