地缘冲突升级直接扰动原油定价逻辑,且委内瑞拉新协议的潜在供应增量构成关键变量,需关注油价波动对宏观资产的影响。

And we begin this evening at the white House. President Trump taking questions from reporters on Iran, leaving the door open to another round of U.S. strikes. They're a failed nation. Uh, they've got a 350% inflation. They have no currency, and they're not paying their soldiers. Their leaders are largely dead. Uh, their navy is gone. Their air force is gone. Their, uh, surveillance equipment is almost entirely gone. Uh, that doesn't mean we won't smack them.

We'll see what happens. His comments coming after Washington and Tehran exchanged attacks over the weekend for the first time in about a month, renewing fears of another cycle of escalation. Joining us now from the white House. Bloomberg government senior white House reporter Mika Silver. Mika, after what you heard from the president. Should we anticipate another round of tit for tat strikes, or is this something bigger, a resumption of military activity?

Well, we just heard the president say in the Oval Office that these strikes are planned to be limited, but we are seeing more escalation happen between the U.S. and Iran. Uh, Trump, uh, President Trump has warned of an escalation, uh, with the strikes in Iran. So I think that we're seeing that this war is nowhere near, uh, coming to a close as the white House has really struggled to try and end this war. And foster, uh, negotiated a long lasting peace deal.

So, uh, we're going to see more continue. But I know that this is a big issue for the president. The president has said that a lot of Iran has been decimated, the leaders have been killed, and a lot of the infrastructure has been destroyed. But it doesn't seem like this is coming to a close yet. And of course, the renewed hostilities have put upward pressure on oil today. But the president says that oil prices may come down at some point due to the deal with Venezuela.

How much do we actually know about the finer points of that deal, Mika, and how quickly this oil actually comes to market? Yeah, I think that there's a lot of questions left on this $100 billion deal with Venezuela, uh, including where exactly this private financing is going to come for, uh, this, this oil. Uh, we just heard the president say that this is going to be a fix for bringing down gas prices in the United States.

He said that this oil is going to be going to places like Houston and Louisiana. Uh, but there's been little detail, I think, that the white House will soon be trickling out those details. I know that we'll be keeping a close eye here in terms of what's kind of in that fine print. All right. Bloomberg's Michael Silver at the white House.
