The Stock Movers podcast, your roundup of companies making moves in the stock market, harnessing the power of Bloomberg data. Let's take a look at some stocks on the move today. Alexis Christophers.

And you know what? It's like you're in my mind, Tom. Broadcom, one of the stocks we need to talk about this morning. So, uh, it's up about 1.5% here pre-market. It is in talks with lenders to raise more than $60 billion in debt for an AI chip financing deal, uh, that will benefit Anthropic and other companies. So, the financing may include about 30 billion junior debt tranches and a senior secured trunch that could range from about 60 billion to 70 billion.

This potential deal would help firms including anthropic access chips and other key infrastructure with talks ongoing. a detailed subject to change all the good stuff. But this is this is the word on the street right now for broadcast.

Carmen Aoyo producing Laura Bonitz and Ryan Gold with that story late yesterday afternoon on Broadcom. And what I really noticed about it and as you mentioned it moves the stock today is a double tunch. You've got a senior set of tanches with all sorts of guarantees, promises, covenants, the rest of it's a religious experience. It's the junior tranch is hold on to your wallet and that's going to come at a higher yield.

Makes sense.

And it's 60, you know, supposed 60 plus 30 60 + 40 70 plus 30 who's counting out to a tenth of a trillion dollars.

Wow.

In the senior and the junior piece.

Okay.

So, it's they're they're getting creative.

And this is really becoming a trend. I feel like every other day we're talking about um something like this. So, all right. Let's move on to retail and Ross stores. And you know what? You might think the ticker symbol is ROSS, wouldn't you? But it's not. It's R O S T as in Tom. Yes. So, this is an offpric retailer. It is up 7.5% here in the pre-market. Raising its fullear earnings outlook. Second quarter sales and profit, beating the street, higher customer traffic from both existing customers and new customers.

They're also going to open up more stores than expected, about 115 now. Um, mortgage retailers are also saying tariff refunds plumping [snorts] up the bottom line.

That's the case here with raw stores. Target said the same thing.

I've never looked at this, but Ross stores 10 years annualized is 16% per year.

I would say that's a sterling performance.

Absolutely.

Retailers.

Yes. When you compare to other retailers?

Yeah, I would. You got one more?

I do. BJ Wholesale Club. Sort of in the retail realm, right? Of course. So, it's up 2.4%. Um, second quarter profit and revenue better than expected. Uh, budget conscious uh shoppers continuing to flock to its stores in search of value. And you know what? In search of gasoline, let's be honest, places like BJ and BJ's and Costco. They make a lot off their uh cheaper gasoline because they can buy it in in bulk the way they do.

Um, the CEO said the company's value proposition continues to resonate with members in its clubs and at its gas stations. It attributes it primarily to strengthen membership acquisition, retention, and higher tier membership penetration. We're going to hear from Costco on September [music] 2nd. Actually,
