AMNA NAWAZ: Good evening. I'm Amna Nawaz. Geoff Bennett is away. On the "NewsHour" tonight: President Trump vows to make Iran pay for the killing of U.S. service members. Where the war goes from here. Recent fatal shootings by ICE officers prompt questions about how they're recruited and trained. And Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu moves to defy an order by Israel's highest court, raising concerns of a constitutional crisis ahead of upcoming elections.

AYALA PROCACCIA, Former Israeli Supreme Court Justice (through translator): A country in which a governing authority takes the law into its own hands is a country where the seeds of disorder and anarchy are sown.
