GPT-Image-2.6: Faster image generation with Flare and Sunburst
Today we're introducing GBT image 2.6 Sunburst and Flare alongside several new features for using them in the API. First up is speed. GPT Image 2.6 Flare can generate [music] images faster than previous models. We're also giving developers significantly more control when creating dense infographics or using complex prompts, cases where it's worth waiting longer to get all the details right. When you're ready to refine an image, the new markup feature lets you show the model where you want to change.

You can send a separate image of a circled area or with annotations and describe the change you want. [music] The model is able to process the markup and make specific detailed edits. We're also adding SVG and GIF support to enable new workflows and generate more complex assets directly from the API. With SVGs, you can scale illustrations without losing sharpness and edit shapes and colors as needed. It's perfect for icons and illustrations where you need the [music] same asset to work at different sizes and match your brand colors.
