This is a Bloomberg money minute. Stocks being dragged down by a sell off in chipmakers as all three indices are seeing losses, with the Dow down 4/10 of a percent. Nasdaq losing over 2%, while the S&P has dropped by more than 1.25%. Morgan Stanley's third quarter profit climbed as the firm's equity traders soundly beat analysts estimates, while the wealth management operation brought in a record amount of money. The stock trading side of the bank generated revenue of $5.8 billion, compared with expectations for 4.9 billion, while the closely watched wealth business brought in a record $232 billion in net new assets.

Morgan Stanley said half of those new assets were tied to initial public offerings. Despite the good news, Morgan Stanley shares are down close to 4%. Anthropic is meeting prospective investors today as it lays the groundwork for its initial public offering, which could be the largest IPO in history. The company is aiming for a valuation of 1.8 to $2 trillion. Sources tell Bloomberg anthropic is targeting its IPO before Thanksgiving.
