This is a Bloomberg money minute. Stocks ended lower today on fading hopes for any kind of diplomatic breakthrough in the U.S. war against Iran, even though President Trump said mediators did hold talks today. But Wall Street, all the major averages fell between two thirds and 1%, with the Dow today down 347 points. The Nasdaq down 248, the S&P lower by 60. And oil was flat. It closed at $92.60 a barrel. Steak decliners shares Boeing tumbling nearly 7%.

The certification for its long delayed 737 Max ten jet will be held up by the FAA. That's over a new software issue that could cause the automated navigation system to fail during certain landing situations. Now, Boeing was just about to start deliveries of that long delayed aircraft. This is going to set them back even further. And the Nuclear Regulatory Commission is poised to approve the Tennessee Valley Authority's proposal to build a small nuclear reactor just outside of Knoxville.
