油价飙升致美股收跌，美伊僵局加剧能源危机

This is a Bloomberg money minute. Renewed jitters today about inflation. That's after bond yields rose higher and the price of oil rose. While data showed U.S. business activity this month rose by the most in five years. You add that up in the Dow today down 352 points. The Nasdaq, which began the day at a fresh all time high, fell more than 1% lower by 308. And the S&P was down 59. With efforts to revive talks between the US and Iran seemingly at a stalemate, Iran's president said today he will not allow freedom of transport through the Strait of Hormuz, while a U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports is in place.

So oil back above $92 a barrel while Brent crude, the kind of oil found in the Persian Gulf, is back above 103 bucks a barrel. Meantime, diesel futures slumping lower today as the white House considers a 90 day ban on exports of diesel, hoping to drive prices here in the U.S. lower.
