It is time now for a look at some of the stocks on the move of today. And for that, we are joined by Bloomberg News equities reporter Arles Bonia Ramos uh here in our Bloomberg interactive broker studio. You brought us some uh morsels today. Gener is on the move.

Absolutely. Yeah. Uh thanks so much for having me always. Um I brought a couple of like bigger moves that happened during the day. Just a little bit of size and scope for y'all. Um so Gener Holdings, that's sticker GNRC. That's a backup power generator company known for homes uh generators, but they're really doing a push to be a part of the booming data center growth. And what's happening there? They closed uh up nearly 18% today.

Uh that intraday move was the highest since 2021. Um and that is also 80% jump from the stocks closing yesterday, Wednesday. Um uh all this also happened after they agreed to supply 8 billion worth of generators for Amazon's data center. Um and they're going to be doing this uh I I believe the first um supply is going to be happening next year 2027 2028. It was a draw for me when I got my latest apartment, my new lady's house, the Generrack was there and I was like, "This is fantastic."

So, it's it's a lifesaver. But for those data companies, too, I mean, they need the power. And we we're having to find different ways to do this.

Yeah. And this is a company that's been doing this at a home level, but now it's sort of like taking a, you know, doing that little switch for them. And this is a really uh big deal contract for them as well. And Amazon is really at the forefront of the push for data centers, too.

Um, how about Autoation? Um, because I'm looking at their shares. They were lower.

They were lower. Their shares ended down um I believe 10% or roughly 10% uh today. The ticker is an end. Uh, and this happened the Morgan Stanley Lagona conference has been going on for the couple of days. Um a couple a lot of companies have been sort of like um working you know working the room but they said something very specifically on how consumers are spending uh basically you know consumers quote unquote spend very nicely but when it comes to spending big capital they're sort of like putting a stop and this means you know uh autoations products specifically.

Yeah.

Why are they putting a stop?

Just like being more discretionary like I don't want to spend the big money. good with just like spending every day making maybe going out um but maybe like big buys or just double for sure. Right.

All right. Now you brought us something in the uh is this biase space? Is this what Ultragenics Pharma is all about?

Yeah, biotechnology.

Okay. And they have a cool ticker symbol. It's rare. R A R E. Tell us about what's going on there.

Sure. Absolutely. Uh shares of uh the biotech company advanced roughly uh 13% today. The firm got um FDA approval for its gene therapy to treat pediatric patients uh that have a rare inherited disease that pro progressively damages the brain and nervous system. Um I had to read that because I want to make sure that we know exactly what they're doing. It is it is a rare you know it's it's rare what they do but maybe not.

So it's pediatric. It's for kids.

It's for kids. Yeah. Um it's worth noting that sherto abiona therap therapeutic uh also went up uh or climb uh with this announcement and it's uh because uh rare actually ultragenics had bought um global rights to the gene therapy from abiona in uh [music] 2012.
