中国学者发布递归自我改进AI路线图

While US frontier labs discuss slowing AI development, researchers in China are publishing a roadmap toward recursive self-improvement.

“The Last AI Built by Humans” brings together researchers from Shanghai Jiao Tong, Theseus Labs, Tsinghua, ByteDance and others.

It maps five stages, from executing improvements to changing the process that produces future improvements. A research roadmap with preliminary evidence, rather than a working system anyone can download.

The ambition is clear: AI that gets better at making itself better.

That puts the coordination problem in plain view. US labs can choose to slow down. They cannot assume everyone else will follow.
