Lots of red on the screen out there, but let's take a look at some of the stocks on the move today. And we can do that with Bloomberg's John Tucker. John, what are you looking at this morning. The highly produced stock movers. It seems like a well oiled machine here. Uh let's start with meta platforms rising in pre-market trading. So analysts are positive on the Facebook parent after they debuted an AI assistant muse.

This is what it's all about, apparently. Uh, the analysts, for the most part saying that meta well-positioned to succeed in this area. They expect personal assistants to become a big category for e-commerce and digital and players. So the muse AI agent, it can, uh, let's see, what can it do? Send emails. It can book your travel plans, take on goals, and continue working after users close the app. I'm not sure I want that, but anyway, I pick up.

My dry cleaning is really what I want. No child can't do that. Just that's that's for the robots. Muse rolling out in the US on uh, iOS, Android, amuse uh, AI. It's expected to launch soon on, uh, met his eye glasses as well. Okay. Um, the eye agent uses Meta's muse Sparc model. It can make purchases through stripes like, uh, with shop pay and one password. Uh, medicines. Once a person shares a goal with muse, it helps them develop a personalized plan and coordinate their time and resources, and then advances the work on its own personal relationship with their personal AI.

Yeah, just what I need. Uh, it can open a browser, fill out forms, and negotiate on your behalf. No, I don't want it to negotiate on my behalf. Thank you very much. Oh, okay. Lexus would actually, like, um, let's do Lyft. Starting to offer Waymo robotaxi rides. Uh, the next city they're taken aim at is Nashville. So this is the second city where it's providing driverless trips, and they're trying to play catch up. At this point with Uber, Lyft customers will be matched at no additional cost with a Waymo autonomous vehicle.

When you order, rank it a ride. Now, if, uh, in order for a match to happen, the desired route has to start at and within the existing service area, the uh users can decline a driver's right or opt out entirely. The ride hailing companies like Lyft and Uber they made are partnering with the robotaxi developers who were trying to prepare for a future where driverless vehicles, um, could increasingly threaten the core business.

We'll see if that's happen. I mean, it's just a fraction of the market right now. Uber offers Waymo rides exclusively into U.S. cities. Lately, they've had a kind of a strained relationship, uh, with Waymo over issues ranging from, uh, safety, reliability. And there's also the regulatory aspect of that. For now, autonomous rides still account again for a real small segment of the ride. Hailing New York City did not renew their license.

Uh, Waymo's license to to have their pilot program be here in New York or even in New York State, for that matter. I mean, can you imagine? No, I can't imagine. So I think I'm on I'm on board with what city officials did here. We need a little time. Yeah. So we have driverless, you know, robo taxis here in the city. My drive in and out, it's just, like, riddled with, like, I'd be just obstacles coming at you from, like, 360 degrees.

Um. All right, what else have we got? Apple. Let's go there. John Turnus making his first public address as the CEO today, uh, is going to make the case for buying an iPhone that costs at least 2000 bucks. The stock's rallied 15% since a June 25th. That's when, uh, they announced it was raising prices on a lot of its products. And since then, a significant chunk of the gains have been driven by excitement about this new line of devices, uh, particularly the foldable iPhone.

But the stock remains down about 7% from the all time high that we saw on July 28th. Investors, uh, at Apple, they're, uh, famously hard to impress on the day of iPhone advance. So you got to keep that in mind. The stock is actually I don't know who came up with these stats, but somebody check the stock has fallen on five of the past eight days when new versions of the devices were unveiled. Uh, but the good news is that averages a gain of 10% in the next six months of following iPhone debuts.
