Specs: 76 degrees of freedom, 21 per hand, three Turing AI chips at up to 2,250 TOPS. XPENG says more humanoid capabilities are coming, too. Very curious to see those.

Tesla’s Optimus makes this especially interesting. Both companies have spent years figuring out how to manufacture cars at scale. Now they’re applying that experience to robots, where tiny differences in assembly can affect how well a hand grips or a body moves.

Building thousands of these machines means getting the same precision over and over, at a cost that makes sense. I want to see how both XPENG and Tesla pull that off, and what their robots can actually do for customers.
