The Stock Movers Report, your roundup of companies making moves in the stock market, harnessing the power of Bloomberg data. Let's take a look [music] at some stocks on the move today here in Europe. I'm James Wilcox with Steven Carroll and we are joined by Bloomberg's breaking [music] news editor, Louise Moon. Louise, first up, Crest Nicholson, another Crestfallen UK home builder. Indeed, shares hit a record low this morning, so fell about 14%.

Before they had expected for the full year to record profits of up to about£10 million. This morning they've reversed that and they now expect losses of 10 million. Um they also downgraded their guidance for completions. Um so it was up to uh 1,500 homes, it's now 1,400 homes. So by about 100 homes, they've cut that. um and they already cut their guidance in July and April. Obviously, this is all on the back of this subdued housing market that we've been seeing for a while.

So, weak demand um on the back of affordability, falling sales prices, higher building costs. So, all these house builders having to contend with all of that and Cres Nixon is is quite a stark example this morning. They also warned uh separately that their talks with their lenders on borrowing terms, so their refinancing talks, they're taking longer than expected. So a whole host of headwinds and analysts are noting that um and saying you know it's given all of that and given the wider market it's unsurprising obviously that the share price is very weak this morning.

Yeah indeed that's Crest Nicholson in the UK. Let's go to France next and SWAT the semiconductor materials firm their shares on the rise this morning.

Yeah they've lifted their second year uh sorry second quarter revenue guidance that was aftermarket close yesterday. They cited accelerated demand uh for one of their kind of specialized um engineered platforms and so shares rising up 13%. Analysts saying it's a clear positive. It's confirming their position in the supply chain. That should also build confidence through to their fullear outlook as well. They are saying that consensus already captures quite a lot of that growth um within that that specific platform and that unit.

They're not expecting material upgrades, but it's a positive and shares, as I say, up about 13% this morning.

And Dutch Telecom are moving this morning on a Bloomberg exclusive. What's going on?

Yes, so we've had a report that Elliot Investment Management, so the activist investor, they've built uh what's been called a sizable stake. The exact stake is is unknown, um but it's sizable. Um, and they're one of the key things that they're pushing for is that they're opposing uh Deutsch Telecom's potential merger with T-Mobile, which is its American arm owns a a big uh stake in T-Mobile. It wants it to think about other ways essentially to unlock value for shareholders.

So things like larger buybacks. Um shares are rising on the back of that. Background being that the CEO has been working quite a lot to bring Deutsch Telecom closer to T-Mobile. he wants to create, you know, that would create the world's biggest phone company. Some executives oppose that. So, it's already faced some headwinds and the share rise this morning potentially shows that investors [music] are thinking much the same.

So, um, a stake there from Elliot.
