Uber裁员3300人，削减10%员工以聚焦自动驾驶

Carmen. While we have, you would also be great to get into what we heard from Uber this morning. It's an interesting one because we remember at the start of this year Uber was doing their token maxing. They blew through their entire year's budget of tokens and in just a few months. So we know Uber has been spending and in some cases spending a lot on EI. They announced this morning, we learned this morning the Bloomberg team that they're cutting 3300 jobs, about 10% of their workforce.

What does this tell us about where their priorities are about where capital is being allocated into Uber. Right. Well, it looks like they really are sort of trimming jobs here, sort of cutting up maybe some middle managers and moving people back into individual contributor roles to sort of free up some spending and make sure that they're able to reallocate into, you know, ridesharing delivery and their robotaxi businesses.

And so this is significant. It's also saying, I think it's important to point out that Uber hadn't had sort of this same job cut, um, trend that maybe a lot of other tech companies have seen. They've, I guess, stayed pretty sort of consistent since the pandemic. So this is a pretty big cut for them. It's about 10% of its staff. And it's also going to be about 20% of managers. Um, so definitely interesting to see sort of where this company is pivoting to make sure that they're allocating spend and sort of where they're, you know, they're cutting from, you know, the stock is reacted positively.

It's up a little bit this morning I think still down on the year. But getting you know some some buying from from investors on this news.
