ADP报告：8月美国私营部门新增就业3.8万人

Let's get to the ADP employment report. Mike McKee has more. Good morning, Mike. Good morning, John. Well, it's a rather weak number, but at least it's not negative as we saw with the, payrolls report last month. ADP reports 38,000 jobs created in its measure of private sector employment during the month. Base pay rose 3.2%. Gross pay up 4.7%. So neither one of those is gonna be of a major concern to the Fed. Taking a look at the numbers underneath, goods producing lost 10,000 jobs, most of those in manufacturing. 17,000 jobs lost in manufacturing, offset a little bit by construction, which was up by, 12,000.

Service providing jobs up by 48,000. Professional and business services down by 16,000 in that group. But, education and health care services, the big, hiring number, always in these reports, 45,000. Leisure and hospitality, 16,000. And in terms of the size of businesses, it was large establishments doing most of the hiring, 34,000. Medium, zero a month, and 3,000 jobs at smaller smaller companies. Now, last month, we saw a, 46,000 report revised, by ADP for private sector jobs, and that translated into negative 23,000 for the payrolls report that came out for July.

And so I wouldn't put too much stock in this 38,000 telling us exactly where we're gonna end up.
