Ireland Bars Crypto From New Tax-Advantaged Investment Accounts
Ireland plans to exclude crypto assets and derivatives from a new tax-advantaged investment account designed to encourage greater retail investment, according to Ireland's Roadmap for the Taxation of Retail Investment, published Monday by the Department of Finance. Under the planned framework, Irish residents will be able to use the accounts for investments including stocks, bonds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and other investment funds.
