英伟达周涨2% PayPal周跌12.8% Salesforce周涨22%

Let's take a look at some stocks on the move this week. I want to start with Nvidia because yesterday Nvidia had one of its biggest moves in more than a year. It's when it was up more than 8% in a single session. It added more than $400 billion in market cap.

You might think, oh, that should lead to a pretty big week for Nvidia. No. Nvidia up by just about 2% this whole week. The company did project sales growth of 70% for the fiscal year. Shares rose more than close to 9%

yesterday in the session. They fell a little bit today. This upbeat outlook though, Lisa, it offered relief to investors concerned about a bubble in the AI economy. Jensen Wong said that demand is only accelerating for the company's latest chip line, Vera Rubin. Uh, and it was built to power this current moment.

So that's Nvidia. What a day a difference a day makes. You're right. Um, so we go to PayPal next, right? PPL down 12.8% for the week. So the thing here is that sourcer is saying this consortium of advent and stripe they are not going with their $50 billion pursuit to the company advent PayPal stripe they they have no one has commented on this uh but it would have ranked as one of the biggest ever leverage buyouts PayPal I mean it was this early mover in digital payments right but it it's been struggling modernization its payment technologies you have the rivals too you have you know Apple alphabet they've kind of seized the market share they have a a new CEO um who's saying he's going going to get specific financial goals for PayPal.

He's going to change how reports and earnings assign each line of the business, a specific revenue target. So, you have a leadership change too in the company as well.

All right. So, that's PayPal. I want to go to uh CRM is the ticker. Salesforce.

Uh this was a massive move this week. And this one also happened on Thursday. Salesforce shares jumped more than 20%. It was the most in six years. It gave this outlook for strong revenue expansion. And it also deepened its partnership with Anthropic, the maker of Claude. And uh Salesforce now expects revenue to accelerate in the second half of the year. Sales of about 11.5 billion in the fiscal third quarter. Current remaining performance obligations increased about 14%.

This week, Salesforce was up more than 22%. They also announced this expanded partnership with Anthropic. And the reason this was such a big deal is because there have been so many concerns about the so-called SAS apocalypse. This idea that Claude from Anthropic

um people are going to vibe code their way from these software as a service companies. And we've seen shares of Salesforce and many other uh of these companies take a hit as a result. And by teaming up with Anthropic, I guess they're sending this message that says, "No, we're actually going to be working together." The Stock Movers Report from Bloomberg Radio.
