This is a Bloomberg Money Minute. The FAA is taking steps to fire two air [music] traffic controllers who left their ships early before an Air Canada Express plane collided with a fire truck at LaGuardia Airport earlier this year. Bloomberg has learned that the move is in keeping [music] with a broader push by the Trump administration to crack down on controllers leaving shifts early or abusing sick leave. So-called [music] early shves are a long-standing informal practice where supervisors give controllers permission to leave early during slow periods while still giving [music] them full pay.

Eli Lilly's diabetes drug has won US approval to reduce the risk of serious cardiovascular [music] problems. The FDA has cleared Monero to lower cardiovascular risk in adults with type 2 diabetes and established heart disease. It's based on a [music] study that compared Monjouro with Lily's elder diabetes drug, Trulicity, which showed Mjouro reduced the [music] risk of heart attacks, strokes, and cardiovascular death.
