Bloomberg Money Minute | Tech Futures Rise as US Neutralizes Cyber Threat
This is a Bloomberg Money minute. The Justice Department says authorities have disrupted online infrastructure allegedly used by Chinese state sponsored hackers to target government agencies like NASA, the fed and the Senate. The DOJ is accusing a China linked group called Fei of carrying out the attacks using two platforms that were disabled in a joint operation with the FBI. They're not saying whether any information was stolen.
Texas Roadhouse is a post alleging racist practices was a hoax. The Facebook post, which has been deleted, claimed employees planned to tamper with black customers meals, sparking outrage online. Texas Roadhouse said in two TikTok posts that the allegations were unfounded. The company also vows to launch an investigation. Apple has set a September 9th date for its next launch event, where it's expected to unveil its long awaited foldable iPhone just out of the opening bell.
Stock futures are mixed, possibly thanks to Nvidia. The tech heavy Nasdaq is up about 1%. Matt Piper Bloomberg.
