The Stock Movers Report, your roundup of companies making moves in the stock market, harnessing the power of Bloomberg data. Let's take a look at some stocks on the move today. Uh, let's start off. Remember when Dick Sporting Goods acquired Foot Locker?

Oh, wow.

How'd that turn out? Well, anyway, um Dick Sporting Goods lowering the fullear outlook weakness at Foot Locker. Uh the Foot Locker unit overshadowing sales gains that they saw during the World Cup. So, the company now expects net sales to be in a range of 21.9 to 22.2 billion in the current fiscal year. That's down from the previous forecast. Now, the change in outlook driven by a drop in sales at Foot Locker. Uh they bought that what last year for $2.4 4 billion.

Uh the stock has fallen about 9% this year through the close yesterday. Compare that with a 12% gain for the S&P 500. Uh the results in the lower outlook deepen skepticism about the merits of the acquisition. According to Bloomberg Intelligence, that's where the Foot Locker deal. It was announced what in May of 2005. There's a lot of criticism from analysts about Dixs taking a troubled retailer on that would give it more exposure to struggling malls, for instance. feel like a lot of those Foot Locker stores closed up.

I don't see them around anymore.

Uh there's still some out there, but also uh as a result of this, you also see shares of Nike uh taking a hit this morning as well. Um let's move on to Apple gearing up to launch a new version of its Mac Mini desktop computer for the first time in almost 2 years. At least to our according to our sources, the new desktop is going to debut as soon as the coming days. It potentially is going to put the unveiling uh ahead of the September uh event to introduce the next iPhone.

Uh Apple has been testing versions with both the M5 and M6 generations of its processor line. This upgrade follows a surge in demand for the current Mac Mini. Uh the current Mac Mini has become very popular uh with AI tools.

It's a Mac I'm confus. The Mac Mini is a computer, not an iPad,

right? And you can uh they use you have to get like two or three to do all sorts of

AI stuff.

AI stuff to like run your business.

You could be like a one person solo small business.

My brother's a big deal. Yeah. My brother's a big deal to be quick. My brother's a big deal at this. Make clear in 2028 2930 everybody's going to be doing AI like on a Mac. Whatever.

SpaceX stock uh significant yesterday closed at its its June IPO price yesterday uh $135. Elon Musk retweeting a post from Nvidia about its Vera Rubin semiconductors, adding that SpaceX has helped design a space optimized version that's planned for orbit in 2027 with significant scale in 2028. Uh space is a very harsh place radiation etc. So your chip in this case the I guess it would be an amended Vera Rubin chip has to be uh super special.
