Broadcom Chip Financing; Ross Earnings Forecast | Stock Movers
Broadcom stocks we need to talk about this morning. So uh it's up about 1.5% here pre-market. It is in talks with lenders to raise more than $60 billion in debt for an AI chip financing deal, uh, that will benefit anthropic and other companies. So the financing may include about 30 billion junior debt tranches and a senior secured tranche that could range from about 60 billion to 70 billion. This potential deal would help firms, including anthropic access chips and other key infrastructure, with talks ongoing a detailed subject to change.
All the good stuff. But this is this is the word on the street right now for Chairman Arroyo. Pretty thing. Laura Benitez and Ryan Gould with that story late yesterday afternoon and Broadcom and what I really noticed about it. And as you mentioned it moves the stock today is a double tranche. You've got a senior set of tranches with all sorts of guarantees promises covenants the rest of to religious experience. The junior tranche is hold on your wallet and that's going to come in at a higher yield.
Pretty Thing。
Makes sense 60 you know supposed 60 plus 3060 plus 40, 70 plus 30. Who's counting up to a 10th of $1 trillion in the senior in the junior piece? Okay, so they're they're getting creative. This is really becoming a trend. I feel like every other day we're talking about, uh, something like this. So. All right, let's move on to retail and Ross stores. You know what you might think the ticker symbol is, Ross, wouldn't you?
But it's not. It's almost as in 1009. Yes. So this is an off price retailer. It is up 7.5% here in the premarket raising its full year earnings outlook. Second quarter sales and profit beating the street higher. Customer traffic from both existing customers and new customers are also going to open up more stores than expected, about 115 now. Um, more retailers also saying tariff refunds slumping up. The bottom line. That's the case with Ross stores.
Target said the same thing. I've never looked at this, but Ross Stores ten years annualized is 16% per year. I would say that's a sterling performance. Absolutely. Retailers? Yes. I'm just guessing retailers. Yeah I would. You have one more. I do bj a wholesale club sort of in the retail realm, right? Of course. So it's, um, 2.4%, um, second quarter profit and revenue better than expected. Uh, budget conscious, uh, shoppers can use to flock to its stores in search of value.
And you know what? In search of gasoline. Let's be honest. Uh, places like BJ at BJ's and Costco, uh, they make a lot off their, uh, cheaper gasoline because they can buy it in bulk the way they do. Um, the CEO said the company is value proposition continues to resonate with members in its clubs and at its gas stations. It attributes it primarily to strengthen membership acquisition, retention and higher tier membership penetration.
We're going to hear from Costco on September 2nd, actually after the visit. That would be interesting. It's actually one of my son's birthday. So there you go. That's his birthday gift. Costco. Got it. Happy birthday. Not only a Costco membership, maybe for having a membership. That could be something. Okay. Or you could just get them a hot dog at the front door. What is it? Is it, like, two bucks or something? Mateo's in that.
Costco。
Yeah. You know, it's an inflation beater over there at Costco.
