655 [music] on Wall Street. Let's take a look at some stocks on the move today. I'm Nathan Hager joined by Bloomberg's Dan Curtis starting us off with the earnings story of the morning, BJ's Wholesale. Good morning, Dan.

Good morning, Nathan. Yeah, it's wrapping up a very busy week for consumer names. So BJ uh Wholesale, those shares are up 2% in the pre-market. Ticker BJ, uh the company's raising its fullear adjusted earnings outlook to $4.60 a share to $4.80 a share. That's a 20 lift on the top and bottom lines on the top and bottom range. That's also accompanied by a sales and earnings beat for the fiscal second quarter. The company recorded a record 8.5 million members and it saw fees for membership rising 10% from a year earlier.

It also posted doubledigit comparable sales growth up 11.9%. The company noted outperformed on gas and as we've been talking about crude a lot. It seems like consumers are looking for discounts and they are going to BJ's.

Yeah, this has been a very busy week of course for retail earnings. We also heard from Ross Stores and uh that was a pretty positive beat as well. Yeah, more consumers looking for saving here. So, take our ROST. Those shares are up 8% in the pre-market top and bottom line second quarter beat for this company as well. And also strong double digit digit growth with comparable stores sales rising 10%. That was well above estimates.

The company's raising its fullear earnings guidance to above $8.60 per share. That's a $1 lift, more than a dollar lift from the previous outlook. and it's seeing strength in home and cosmetics leading just to broad performance growth. The management noted frequent trips and higher spending from existing customers and it also saw new customers span broad income and age demographic. So this morning it looks like shoppers are looking for discounts.

Yeah. is Bitcoin up another 7% this morning and that is lifting the space. I'm looking particularly at strategy ticker MSTR shares are up 10% in the pre-market and that is as the just crypto is continuing its weekly rally up over 20%. Strategy following along optimism in the space building after Trump called for Congress to pass the clarity act on Wednesday. The bill would hand CFTC pime primary authority to regulate digital asset industry and CFTC chair Michael Celig told Bloomberg News yesterday that crypto will get the rules one way or the other.

It's also something that large financial institutions are looking at say that without these regulations these large institutions may be wary of embracing digital assets. It's been an absolute terrible week for crypto and companies [clears throat] like Strategy companies like Coinbase which is up 5% in the pre-market following suit.

Okay. Okay. Well, let's move to the uh red side of the ledger here. And I got to admit, Dan, I'm learning something here. Wonderbread is not actually called Wonderbread. So, the company that own it is called Flowers Food. It has a few different brands. Wonderbread probably the most recognizable name there. And shares of Flower Flowers Food, which trades under ticker FLLO, are down nearly 4% in the pre-market as the company cuts its fiscal year outlook.

This comes after second quarter top and bottom line uh meet missed estimates and organic revenue growth fell 4% more than expected as volume dropped. The company noted pressured household budgets and shifting consumer behavior, especially around the bread space. It seems like loaves of bread are just not that appealing right [music] now and the company shares are falling with it.
