This is a Bloomberg Money minute. Bad news for pharma giant AstraZeneca, as it has stopped a clinical trial of an experimental drug for lung cancer after did not help fight the disease better than existing therapies. The medicine was not faring better than the current blockbuster Keytruda. The drugmaker, though, does plan to continue to study the medicine and other cancers, including mesothelioma. Some of the largest oil companies in the world are dialing back their spending, in essence choosing profits over pumping.
