This is a Bloomberg money minute. Tesla shares are higher on reports. The EV maker is planning to unveil a new Roadster designed with flying capabilities as soon as this month. According to the information, Tesla will hold an event to show off the Roadster, the result of a collaboration between Tesla and SpaceX. Shares of electric vertical takeoff and landing names like Joby Aviation and Archer Aviation dropped on the news before paring losses.
OpenAI is on track to bring in $400 billion in annual revenue, roughly doubling its run rate from the end of 2025. The ChatGPT maker, which has seen a sharp uptick in demand for its AI agents, including codec for coding and ChatGPT. Work has been cutting prices to better compete for cost conscious buyers. It's been repositioning to compete against rival anthropic ahead of both companies IPOs. Stocks are lower right now.
