Let's take a look at some of the stocks on the move. And we can do [music] that with Bloomberg's Avan Avalon Bernell. Avalon, what are you looking at today?

Have to start off with Reddit. That's ticker RDDT. It's currently surging 15% most intraday since July 1st and that's after the social forum company is set to join the S&P 500 before the opening of trading on Tuesday. The company will be replacing Avalon Bay Communities which did agree to merge with Equity Residential in a deal valued at more than $50 billion in May. Still though, the company does remain down about 20% this year as concerns about AI and also how exactly they're going to be weighing these various deals with Google and others about accessing their content for AI use.

So, still has a long way to go to make a little bit more for those investors.

Absolutely. What do you have for number two? Applied Materials, that's ticker AMAT, currently slipping about 4.3%. And that's after the semiconductor manufacturer reported only modest upside in its third quarter results and gave a fourth quarter outlook that generally disappointed. Steifle actually noting that they did anticipate their gross margin guidance to be just a little bit better than just flat. And so that was something that was key.

Though I will say that this company's kind of just the next victim or really example of the AI trade saying that you know good is sometimes not good enough. Vital knowledge also noting that they seem to be following in the same line as other companies like Coherent Cereas and also Cisco which also shed value after reporting earnings and guidance that while ahead of the street just wasn't necessarily strong enough.

Very good. Uh one more. What what else you got for us?

Avironment that's ticker AVAV. Although currently it's now only up about 4/10en of a percentage a point. Earlier they were up nearly 10%. They actually are a drone maker. And yes, this is all happening after the Trump administration said that it plans to apply a 100% tariff on imports of unmanned aircraft systems and their components. NEM also highlighting that this tariff really represents just another big push to rapidly build the US drone industry and also shows that expanding production has become a national priority and that news is also sending other drone makers like AEX and drone parts company maker unusual machines higher this morning as well.

Aren't most drones made in China?

Yeah, that's what I thought. Okay, well there you go. It's another way of uh making sure that um you know [music] Chinese manufacturing is something that uh we'll end up paying more for.
