Aviva上涨、DFDS飙升、GB Group大跌

Let's take a look now at some stocks [music] on the move today in Europe. I'm Rachel Evans with Steven Carroll and we're joined by Bloomberg's breaking news editor, Louise Moon. Louise, thanks for joining us. Um, let's start with a boost for insurer Aviva this morning. what's the latest there?

So, they've had their first half results um [music] profit beat and they also say they're very confident in hitting their longerterm targets. Essentially, they've been kind of diversifying uh streams to weather the the kind of wider market volatility. So, part of this is helped by the integration of direct line which they bought last year which is seemed they they say is doing well. Um their CEO was on Bloomberg TV earlier.

She also pointed to strengthen their wealth platform and also said uh so Aviva's got quite a lot of exposure to motor insurance but she said that rates there are starting to outperform costs so that's looking a bit more positive as well so relatively positive shares only rising slightly they briefly touched an 8-year high so up just slightly higher analysts are saying that yes they beat in the first half but that's mostly supported by reserve releases so that's kind of tempering the market reaction in terms of share price this morning.

Okay, so that on Aviva. Let's turn to the ferry operator DFDS next.

A big morning for DFDS. Shares up as much as 21%. That's actually their steepest gain since 2008. Um, so they're obviously the German shipping and logistics firm. They've raised their revenue growth outlook for the year. So it had been 0%, it's now up to 5%. So quite a steep raise there. And they're saying there's also scope for further earnings recovery. Um so positive news on that front. Yesterday it comes after news yesterday they said they were starting a strategic review.

Uh it's their largest shareholders move to replace the chairman and kind of reshape the whole board. Uh that's after they've also just replaced their CEO a few weeks ago. So a bit of a a reshape there. They say that they're trying to clarify their long-term vision. They're positioning their priorities. So that um the EGM is going to be held in September. So potentially get more news on that there. But some quite yeah positive news.

Uh so bit bit of a revamp and also raising that revenue growth outlook. So shares a lot higher

and finally a very steep drop for GBroup the identity verification and intelligence company. What's going on there?

Yeah, opposite story. So they've lowered their fullear revenue uh guidance. So shares sinking as you say. So down as much as 27%. They're saying they've seen more attrition than expected from customers in the US. They're calling these material customers. Um obviously this has been called disappointing by analysts. It's quite a crucial unit for GB Group. though it has quite a big impact. Um and analysts are saying that the they think that GB groupoup is is capable of growing their profits and cash flow faster than their valuation is suggesting but it needs to deliver on that and obviously this is quite a setback for um any of those aims.

So as I say shares sinking as much as 27%. [music]
