Let's take a look [music] at some stocks on the move today in Europe. I'm Gizelle Crouch with Stephen Carroll and we are joined by Bloomberg's [music] breaking news editor Louise Moon. Now, let's start with Dutch payment firm Adyen, Louise. I'm told they're showing that loyalty can be bought.

Yes, indeed, and it's benefiting their share price. Shares soared the most in a year this morning, so up about 12%, which is pairing about half of the losses that it's that the share price has seen so far this year. So, first half revenue rose to just above estimates, but the thing that's really been focused on is they raised their full year revenue outlook after their first ever acquisition. So, they now expect new revenue growth of up to about 23%.

So, as I say, this is all on the back of acquisitions. So, in April they bought a company called Talon One.

This a loyalty platform, and then they also built bought another company called Orb, which is a billing platform. And it's a move away from Adyen's previous strategy. They're saying it's a new chapter, they're widening their services, and it potentially could, you know, come There's there's been worries about competition, macro uncertainty that could hit Adyen, but they're saying that the second half will be as strong as the first half, and it's all quite a positive story.

Yeah, indeed. Good start for the trading day to for Adyen this morning. Let's talk about shipping next though. We've also had earnings out from Maersk, and that's a positive picture, too.

It is. They've raised their full year guidance again, so that's the second time in 7 weeks. So, now their full year guidance is is above as previous estimates. Essentially benefiting from higher freight rates. Obviously, there's um, the disruption to supply chains, the bottlenecks, but really they're focusing on what they're calling a lot of demand. So, soaring demand, particularly from exports out of China. They're saying that's the this key driver rather than issues with that have been seen in the Red Sea, in the Strait of Hormuz.

So, they're saying that companies uh, have brought forward shipments ahead of tariffs tariffs, ahead of fuel cost changes. Some of that is on back of electrification and AI, so those goods moving around. So, um, saying they're seeing a more resilient global economy than had been feared, and that demand is has really spurred them raising their full year guidance again. So, shares up about 8.7 also percent, so the most in more than two months.

Well, they say that the the betting for the World Cup was their strongest ever. Um, in terms of football, which is quite interesting actually. So, that was the positive part. And they also they had an overall beat, uh, particularly growth in in online. This is in their first half, and they have reiterated their full year guidance. But shares have actually been fluctuating quite a bit this morning. They started up and then they've kind of gone down, and and not moving too much.

Analysts are welcoming the results, welcoming the guidance. Some say that the guidance is perhaps a bit conservative given the momentum that Entain is starting to see. It's it's been it talks a lot about becoming more efficient, cutting costs. It's been cutting some jobs, um, and kind of working on other efficiency measures to tackle uh, the headwinds that the whole gambling industry have been seeing. So, uh, in particular higher taxes in the UK.

Obviously, there seems to be more to be done and [music] and shares fluctuating there.
