X is making the biggest change in its monetization program, and truly a brilliant step.

Its retiring the existing Revenue Sharing for a new payout program that only counts original posts.

The outgoing version paid on impressions from Premium subscribers without asking hard questions about who made the thing being watched.

Under the new replacement, called Original Content Rewards, its counted only when a Premium user sees at least 50% of your post on the Home Timeline.

So the accounts most exposed here are the large ones built almost entirely on other people's clips.

Enrollment in the old system closed today, and anyone already inside this revenue on a countdown that ends September 7.

I would assume X's internal AI models have become advanced enough to classify content based on these new conditions of originality.
