SpaceX周涨23% Palantir飙升40% Trade Desk重挫

I'm Tim Stenbec along with Carol Master. Let's take a look at some stocks on the move this week. Carol, I'm throwing it to you because SpaceX was one of them. up nearly 23% this week, closing just below a hair its $135 a share IPO price. Uh the stock closing at 133 and change this week, jumping for a second straight day, bringing uh the shares, as we said, close to that IPO price for the first time since falling below it uh that key level last month.

The move, a swift reversal for the stock that's been under pressure, shedding more than a trillion dollars in market value from uh the high it hit shortly after that record IPO. And we did see the stock, as we know, Tim, facing additional price pressures uh earlier in the week after the company's first public earnings falling 14% on Wednesday after the company reported higher than expected spending on its AI business.

But big game this week.

All right, that's SpaceX, ticker SPCX. Let's go to one of the worst performers in the S&P 500 this week, and that was Honeywell Aerospace. Ha, is the ticker. Shares plunged earlier this week after an unexpected reduction in its outlook startled investors. Shares fell this week by 18.5%. Supply chain issues will keep sales growth to four to 5% this year on an organic basis, roughly half Carol of its prior forecast.

Now to Palanteer, ticker PLTR. That stock up nearly 40% this week. The stock we saw it trade um surging really uh earlier, the most in more than two years after the company boosted fullear revenue and income forecast, describing commercial demand for its data analytics tool as otherworldly. That was earlier in the week. That was coming out on Monday. The company now expects 4.89 billion to 4.91 billion in adjusted income from operations this year.

That's up from 4.45 billion at the top end of the range previously put out there. So quite a run.

Yeah, Palanteer up 40% this week. PLTR is the ticker. One of the best performers in the S&P 500. All right, another one of the worst performers. I'm seeing a pattern here, Carol, in the S&P 500 this week. The trade desk. This is the advertising tech firm. TTD is the ticker down 23 1.5% this week. Uh this after the company reported earnings for the second quarter and gave a third quarter revenue forecast that missed analyst estimates.

At least four brokerages downgraded their rating on the stock. The company reported these results after the bell on Thursday. But you got to go back in time, Carol, and you got to look at how the trade desk has done over the last few years. shares down 89% from [music] those 2024 hut.
