It's official: Anthropic is building an in-house chip team for Claude

Anthropic says it wants to "co-design hardware and models" so Claude can run faster and more efficiently at customer scale.

The company is still pursuing a "multi-chip approach," with AWS, Google, Nvidia and AMD remaining central to its infrastructure.
