Elon Musk committed SpaceX's expanding AI data centers exclusively to NVIDIA Vera Rubin.

And SpaceX plans nearly 10GW of AI capacity by the end of 2027.

SpaceX also spent roughly $15.8B on AI infrastructure during Q2 and says new compute deployments currently repay their capital cost within one year.

NVIDIA claims NVL72 delivers up to 10X more tokens per megawatt and one-tenth the token cost of GB200 NVL72 on its Kimi-K2-Thinking test.

NVIDIA separately offers the smaller Space-1 Vera Rubin module for orbital systems, while SpaceX says Starmind launches should begin next year, a simplified, space-optimized NVL72 computer, rather than the unchanged liquid-cooled rack used inside terrestrial data centers.
